Chatbot Authorization Error
If you see the message:
"Sorry, authorization failed. Please contact your system administrator regarding your Teams account."
it means your account is not yet set up to use the EmpowerID Chatbot in Microsoft Teams.

What to Do:
Contact your system administrator or IT support team. Let them know you're receiving an authorization error when trying to use the EmpowerID Chatbot. They will need to ensure your account has the necessary permissions and is properly linked in EmpowerID.
Why This Happens
This message appears when:
- Your EmpowerID account isn't fully connected to your organization's directory
- You haven't been granted access to use the chatbot yet
Only users who have been properly set up and assigned access can use the EmpowerID Bot from Teams or other channels.
Once Your Account Is Ready
After your IT team confirms setup is complete, try these steps:
- Reopen Microsoft Teams
- Go to the chatbot and type
help - If the menu appears, you're successfully connected and ready to use the chatbot
