Getting Started With Chatbot
Overview
The Chatbot is an intelligent assistant that helps you manage accounts, passwords, and user operations across multiple platforms including Teams, mobile apps, and web interfaces. It automatically authorizes users and provides an intuitive interface for common administrative tasks.
Quick Start
Initial Setup
- Access the Chatbot from your preferred platform (Teams, mobile app, or web interface)
- The system will automatically authorize your account
- A menu of available options will appear automatically
Getting Help
At any time during your interaction with the Chatbot, you can:
- Type
help
to see all available options - Type
cancel
to end the current task and start over - Click on any provided button to initiate that specific workflow
Core Features
Voice Commands and Text Input
The Chatbot understands both button clicks and natural language commands. You can interact using either method:
Button Interface: Click on the provided options for guided workflows
Text Commands: Type natural language requests like:
- "create a person with name nick paul"
- "change my password"
- "create a new shared credential"

Troubleshooting
Authorization Error
Error Message: "Sorry, authorization failed. Please contact your system administrator regarding your Teams account."
Solution:
- Contact your system administrator or IT Department
- Request that they configure your account to allow Chatbot access from your team's channel
- Wait for confirmation that your account has been properly configured
- Try accessing the Chatbot again
Bot Not Understanding Commands
If the Chatbot doesn't understand your input:
- The bot will automatically prompt you to type
help
- Use the
help
command to see all available options - Try rephrasing your request using the example commands provided
- Use the button interface instead of text commands
Advanced Features
Ask to See Commands
This feature provides quick access to common queries without opening a web browser. Simply select this option from the main menu to get instant answers to frequently asked questions.
Session Management
- End Session: Use
cancel
or click the "Quit or Cancel" button - Confirmation: You'll receive a "Ok, Have a nice day!" message when successfully ending a session
- New Session: After canceling, you can immediately start a new operation
Best Practices
- Be Specific: When creating persons or credentials, include all relevant details in your initial command
- Use Help Frequently: Don't hesitate to use the
help
command when unsure about available options - Natural Language: Feel free to use conversational language - the bot is designed to understand context
- Error Recovery: If something goes wrong, use
cancel
to start fresh rather than continuing with errors
