Configuring Audit Task Notifications

EmpowerID allows administrators to notify audit participants and their managers about recertification tasks using configurable email notifications. These communications help ensure that users complete their tasks in a timely manner, supporting organizational compliance and audit readiness.

There are three recipient types for audit notifications:

  • All Audit Participants: Notifies everyone involved in the audit.
  • Anyone With Unfinished Tasks: Targets users who have not yet completed their assigned recertification tasks.
  • Managers of People With Unfinished Tasks: Informs managers about team members who still have outstanding items.

Prerequisites

Required Permissions

You must be logged into EmpowerID with permissions to access the Compliance → Recertification section and initiate workflows.

Configure Email Templates

Ensure that the email templates used for notifications are properly configured. To do this:

  • Navigate to Admin → Miscellaneous → Localized Emails
  • Use the NotifyAuditParticipants workflow parameters to set the correct template for each notification type

Procedure

1. Navigate to the Audit Page

From the navbar, go to Compliance → Recertification, then select the Audit tab.

3. Locate the Target Audit

Use the search feature to find your audit, then click View Details to access the audit detail page. Open Audit Details Page

4. Access the Communication Tab

Select the Communication tab on the audit detail page. You will see a button labeled Send Advanced Notification.

5. Launch the Notification Workflow

Click Send Advanced Notification to start the Notify Audit Participants workflow. Send Notification Button

6. Select the Recipient Type

Use the To Whom dropdown to choose one of the following:

  • All Audit Participants
  • Anyone With Unfinished Tasks
  • Managers of People With Unfinished Tasks Select Recipients for Notification

7. Review and Proceed

Click Next to continue. The system will automatically email all eligible recipients based on the selected recipient type.
