📄️ About the Active Directory Connector (On Premise)
EmpowerID Active Directory connector allows organizations to bring the user and group data in their Active Directory to EmpowerID, where it can be managed and synchronized with data in any connected back-end user directories. Once connected, you can manage this data from EmpowerID in the following ways:
📄️ Connect to Active Directory
EmpowerID provides connectors for a wide range of user directories and resource systems. As an administrator, you can use these connectors to quickly connect EmpowerID to your organization's identity-aware systems and applications. When you do so, you create an account store for that application in the EmpowerID Identity Warehouse and use that account store to configure how you want EmpowerID to manage the identity information in that system.

📄️ Change Active Directory to LDAP
If you have already created an Active Directory account store and realize that you need for it to be a secure LDAP account store, you can change it using a stored procedure in the database that is not exposed in any workflow.
📄️ Configure Exchange Management (On-Premise)
If your environment has an on-premise Microsoft Exchange organization, you can configure EmpowerID to inventory and enforce permissions for your Exchange organization. If you are using Exchange, EmpowerID automatically discovers the organization during the initial Active Directory forest scan, categorizes it as a Resource System, and creates a record within the ExchangeMailbox table of the EmpowerID Identity Warehouse for each mailbox within the organization.
