Create Local Functions

Local Functions in EmpowerID are specific actions linked to broader Global Functions, tailored to fit the unique entities, systems, and locations of an organization. For example, "Restart bk.devdomain1" could be a Local Function associated with a "Restart Virtual Machines" Global Function.

Procedure

  1. On the navbar, expand Compliance and click Risk Policies.
    This directs you to the Risk Policies page.

  2. On the Risk Policies page, select the Local Functions tab and click the Add New button. Create New Local Function button This opens the "Create Local Function" form. Create Local Function form

  3. Enter the following information in the form:

    FieldInput / Action Required
    NameEnter a name that represents the function in your business process.
    Display NameEnter a user-friendly display name for the function.
    DescriptionProvide a brief characterization of the function.
    LocationUse the "Select a Location" link to search for and select a creation location for the function.
    Global FunctionChoose the global function that this local function will be linked to.
    Resource SystemSearch for and select the resource system to which the function pertains
    Locale Key (Unique Name)(Optional) Enter a locale key for creating a localized entry for the function.
    Locale Key for Description(Optional) If creating a localized entry, provide a description for the locale key.
    Is EnabledToggle to specify whether the function is enabled for processing.
  4. Click Save to create the local function.
