Purpose
The Glossary serves to:
- Provide clear definitions of terms and acronyms used within the EmpowerID product.
- Ensure consistent understanding of terminology across all users and stakeholders.
- Serve as a quick reference for new and existing users.
Content Structure
Each glossary entry should include:
- Term: The word or acronym being defined.
- Definition: A concise explanation of the term.
- Context: (Optional) An example or context where the term is used within EmpowerID.
Formatting Guidelines
- Alphabetical Order: List terms alphabetically for easy navigation.
- Headings: Use level 2 headings (
##
) for each term. - Bold: Highlight the term in bold at the beginning of its definition.
Example:

A credential that represents the authorization granted to a client application by a user or system, allowing access to specific resources.
Maintenance
- Regular Updates: Review and update the glossary periodically to include new terms and modify existing definitions as the product evolves.
- Feedback Integration: Encourage users to suggest terms or improvements to definitions to keep the glossary comprehensive and accurate.
